Singing is a powerful and empowering experience. Through
singing you can express joy, sadness and flow with all those deep emotional places that
connect us with soul and make us truly human. Physically singing circulates oxygen and
releases endorphins which makes you feel great. Emotionally and spiritually you can
address and release energetic and emotional blocks allowing you to let your voice be heard,
both physically and metaphorically. Singing can be a royal road to self actualisation
as you continually open up new areas of your voice, and your Self.
How much more powerful, then, if the words
you sing are your own?
In this eight session course you will:

be supported through the processes of
- creative listening and play
- feeding and mining your creative streak
- exploration
- crafting your ideas into song form
- singing and presenting
- having your own words heard in the form of a song
- listening to and supporting others

be involved in:
- 6 groups sessions around topics such as:
- lyric writing
- filling your creative well
- melody
- managing your inner critic
- song structure
- 1 individual session

An opportunity for you to use my skills as a singing specialist, performance
technique and presentation trainer, or to get help with some other aspect of preparing your song
for the final event, such as putting a guitar part to it.
- a final event, format to be decided by the group, in
which you will sing your own song!

This will take place in a nurturing supportive environment designed to
allow you to explore as deeply, or as tentatively as you feel comfortable. There will
be space to focus more apon pure songwriting technique, or growth aspects of the work
as feels most appropriate for you. NO MUSICAL EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

DATES:
Weds 11th June -Weds 16th July, 7.30 - 9.30pm, plus two other times
sessions 1-6 2 hour group class/session
session 7 individual sesion times in last two weeks of course
session 8 final ceremony time tbc |
COST:
$320 full price. Deposit of $100 needed to secure place. Not refundable after 4th June (closing date)
$250 Earlybird price. Payable in full by 21st May Non refundable.
N.B. In the case of the organisers cancelling due to unforeseen circumstances fees will be returned in full.
